Record stock movements

Admin

Trace each stock entry and exit, and view the movements history.

Presentation

Stock movements record all variations: entries (receptions, corrections) and exits (sales, losses). They ensure a reliable and traceable stock.

Access

Administrator dashboard, Stock section, "Stock movements" card (or from the inventory view).

Interface

  • Movement activity (chart): Above the list, a bar chart compares entries (green) and exits (orange) over three periods: today, the last 7 days and the last 30 days. The exact value is shown above each bar, with an Entries / Exits legend. Figures come from the server (real count, not a sample) and update after each new movement.
  • Movements list: Entries / exits with product, quantity and date.
  • New movement (scan possible): Choose the product (or scan it), the type (entry/exit) and the quantity.
  • Clickable cards (today entries / exits, total): At the top, three cards show EXACT counts (computed by the server, not a sample): entries today, exits today, total movements. Each card is CLICKABLE: tapping "entries today" filters the list to today's entries, "exits today" to today's exits, and "total movements" resets the filters (show all).
  • Filters and sorting: The bar lets you search (reference, product name or reason), sort (date or quantity, asc/desc) and open "Filters" to refine by type (entry/exit), by product (chosen by NAME) and by date range. A badge shows the number of active filters; "Reset" clears everything.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Action: Open "Stock movements". To create one, tap "New movement" or scan the product. Result: The form opens, product pre-selected if scanned.
  2. Action: Choose entry or exit, the quantity, then confirm. Result: The product stock is adjusted and the movement is traced. Check: Check the new displayed quantity.

Edge cases

Sales automatically generate stock exits: no need to enter them manually.

The chart's "Today" period counts the current day's movements (in your device time zone) and matches exactly the "Entries today" / "Exits today" cards shown above. A period may show 0 if no movement happened: this is normal.

Tips

  • Record losses/breakages as exits to keep stock faithful to reality.
  • Compare at a glance the height of green (entries) and orange (exits) bars over 7 and 30 days: if exits regularly exceed entries, stock is draining and you need to restock.
