View a customer loyalty

See a customer points balance and the history of earnings/redemptions.

Overview

The loyalty program accumulates points for the customer over their purchases. These points can then be used as a discount during a sale.

Access

When selecting a customer (in a sale), open the loyalty record of the chosen customer.

Interface description

  • Points balance: Number of points currently available for the customer.
  • Points earned / redeemed (totals): Two cards summarize the lifetime total of points earned (green) and redeemed (red) by the customer.
  • Loyalty history: Points movements: earnings, redemptions (discounts) and reversals.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. In a sale, select the customer then open their loyalty. -> The balance and points history appear.
  2. To use points: return to the sale and apply them as a discount (see "Process a sale"). -> The loyalty discount reduces the total due.

Examples

[Simple] Check the points: A customer asks how many points they have: you select them and read the balance in the loyalty record.

Edge cases

Loyalty is available only if it is enabled in the company settings.

Tips

  • Always select the customer BEFORE finalizing the sale so they accumulate (or use) their points.
