Presentation

A credit note is an accounting document automatically issued when a sale is refunded. It attests the reduction of the claim against the customer and is mandatory for accounting.

This screen is read-only: credit notes are generated by the system and cannot be manually modified.

Access

Dashboard > Finance section > 'Credit notes' tile. Required permission: sales.refund.

Interface description

  • Credit notes list: Paginated list with infinite scroll. Each row shows: credit note number, amount, currency, reason and date. Sorted in reverse chronological order (most recent at top).
  • Filters: Filter by period (start date / end date). Filtering by associated sale is available if provided.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Action: Open the dashboard and tap 'Credit notes' in the Finance section. Result: The credit notes list appears, most recent at top.
  2. Action: Scroll down to load older credit notes (automatic pagination). Result: The next credit notes load automatically.
  3. Action: Use the date filters to restrict the displayed period. Result: Only credit notes from the chosen period are displayed.

Examples

[Simple] Check credit notes for the current month: Open credit notes, filter from the 1st to the 30th of the month. The list shows all refunds for the period with their amounts.
