Manage stock (inventory view)

AdminManager

Track stock status, recent movements and access inventory actions.

Overview

The inventory view gathers the stock essentials: number of products, distribution by category, low / out-of-stock / soon-to-expire products, and recent movements.

Access

From the dashboard, tap the "Manage stock" card.

Interface description

  • Counters (products, categories): Total managed volumes.
  • Low / Out of stock / Expiring soon: Alert indicators to watch.
  • Distribution by category (donut chart): Interactive ring: each slice is a category, sized by its number of products. Tap a slice, or a row in the legend on the right, to highlight it; the ring center then shows the category name, product count and percentage. When there are many categories, the smallest are grouped into an "Others" slice so the chart stays readable; the legend still lists every category and scrolls.
  • Trends (stock value, product count, out-of-stock): Three day-by-day curves below the counters: total stock value, product count and number of out-of-stock items. WHAT IT IS FOR: the counters at the top show TODAY's situation (a photo); the curves show the EVOLUTION over time (a film), to steer your stock - for example spotting a stock value that keeps rising (too much cash tied up in goods), out-of-stock counts rising week after week (lost sales, reorder thresholds to review), or a catalog that keeps growing. HOW IT WORKS: every day the system automatically takes a snapshot (a photo) of your stock; joining these photos gives the curve. History builds from the day the feature was enabled - the past is never reconstructed or invented. IMPORTANT: a curve needs at least TWO days of data to be drawn. While only one day is recorded, the "Trends" section does not appear yet (this is normal, not a failure); it shows automatically from the second day, then grows each day. Hover (or tap) a point to read the exact date and value.
  • Recent movements: Latest stock entries / exits.
  • New movement / Inventory adjustment: Shortcuts to record an entry/exit or fix a discrepancy.

Step-by-step procedure

  1. Open "Manage stock". -> The inventory view appears with the indicators.
  2. In the "Distribution by category" chart, tap a ring slice or a legend row. -> The slice is highlighted and the ring center shows the category name, its product count and its percentage of the total. (Check: Check that the name and count shown in the center match the tapped category.)
  3. Scroll to the "Trends" section to read the day-by-day evolution of stock value, product count and out-of-stock. Hover (or tap) a point to see the exact date and value. -> The curves show the trend over the available period. (Check: If the section does not appear, there are fewer than two days of history (the feature was just enabled): this is not a failure, it will show automatically from the second day.)
  4. Tap "See all" on an alert (low / out / expiry) for the detailed list. -> You see the affected products.
  5. To correct stock, use "New movement" (entry/exit) or "Inventory adjustment". -> Stock is updated and traced. (Check: Check the product new quantity.)

Examples

Goods reception: A delivery arrives: you record a stock entry via "New movement" for each received product.

Correction after counting: After a physical count, a gap appears: you use "Inventory adjustment" to align theoretical stock with reality.

Tips

  • Watch soon-to-expire products to sell them first (promotions, highlighting).
  • For a category grouped under "Others", tap its row in the legend (which lists every category, even the smallest): its detail appears in the ring center.
