Manage product categories

Organize products into categories to better find and analyze them.
Overview
Categories group products by family (e.g. drinks, hygiene). They ease search, filtering and the distribution shown in the inventory view.
Access
From the inventory view ("Manage stock"), open the categories.
Interface description
- Category list + search: Browse and find a category.
- Category details: Information (created by, created on) and associated products.
- Delete a category: Deletes the category after confirmation.
Step-by-step procedure
- Open categories from the inventory view. -> The category list appears.
- Tap a category for its details, or delete one (confirmation required). -> The detail appears, or the category is deleted. (Check: Before deletion, check no important product depends on it.)
Examples
Organize drinks: You group your drinks into a dedicated category to filter them quickly in inventory.
Error messages
Error while deleting
Cause: The category could not be deleted (e.g. still in use). Solution: Reassign the products to another category first, then retry.
Tips
- Keep few, clear categories: too many makes classification confusing.
